PMP purchases the DUO43 Wire Electrical Discharge Machine

PMP purchased the DUO43 Wire Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) with HEAT and WireWIZARD technologies. H.E.A.T. or High Energy Applied Technology cuts parts 20-40% faster while holding tolerances of straightness to 0.0005″ (T.I.R. – total indicator reading) with one pass and 0.0002″ (T.I.R.) with two passes. The WireWIZARD technology allows higher operating speeds and better surface finishes with fewer passes and superior accuracy. In addition, wire compatibility down to .004″ dia. makes it the ideal choice for micromachining activities.
This capital purchase complements PMP’s existing cannula grinding and precision machining technologies to support on-going production for its’ medical device customer base.
