Qualifications: ISO 13485, CGMP Certified
Markets Supplied: North America, Europe
Quasar specializes in the manufacture of products for the medical device market, catheters, electronics and disposables.
Founded in Hong Kong in 1988 by Boaz Amitai, the company was created to serve as a connection between its European, American and Israeli customers and Chinese electronics manufacturers.
Following four years of acquiring in-depth experience and insight from working with Chinese manufacturers, the growth of its customer base in new fields led to a significant expansion, and a factory was established in Shenzhen, China in 1992. In 2005, Boaz passed the reins to his son Ayal, who now lives with his family in Hong Kong.
Quasar provides its customers with a full turnkey solution for the entire production process, from the transfer-to-production stage (which is performed by Quasar Israel), through the production process itself to the product delivery.
Quasar is distinctive in its proven ability to manufacture in China, resulting in significant advantages (in costs, manpower, timing), in tandem with its advanced engineering technology, international quality standards of production, and strict control in the field of IP.
Quasar’s inimitable engineering and technological capabilities, such as microscope assembly and clean-room manufacturing, have made it a market-leader in the area of manufacturing medical devices; and its clientele includes large, international companies.
Quasar has branches throughout the world. Its factory in Shenzhen, China, currently employs approximately 1,000 employees and extends over an area of 10,000 square meters. Now under construction, an additional expansion has led to a brand new, advanced manufacturing facility in Dongguan, China, which will open in the coming year. With headquarters located in Hong Kong and the engineering team located in Israel, Quasar employs expert engineers in all of its choice disciplines.
