Precision Medical Products, Inc. named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2017

19 October 2017

DENVER, Pa.: Precision Medical Products, Inc. (PMP) has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for 2017, marking the third year in a row the company has been recognized. This was the first year that small- and medium-sized businesses were evaluated in different categories. PMP earned a spot on the list as a medium company with 25 to 250 employees.

“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work in PA is a tremendous honor,” commented Doug Yocom, President and CEO. “But more importantly, it acknowledges our commitment to provide employees with great benefits, a great working environment, and great opportunities to advance their careers. We truly take pride in every individual who works for us and we have a vested interest in them, their families, and their lives outside of work. This award stands as a symbol of PMP’s investment in our people.”

The survey and awards program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal. It’s designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in Pennsylvania who are benefiting the state’s economy and its workforce.

Eligible companies entered a two-step evaluation process in March. In the first part, the program committee reviewed each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of a survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

For PMP, the award distinguishes the company among other manufacturers in the area. According to Denise DePaul, Human Resources Manager, “Lancaster County is very competitive when it comes to attracting talent. Companies like ours compete for the best and brightest employees who are looking to advance their careers with a great employer. PMP is the only manufacturer in the Denver area with the Best Places to Work designation.”

PMP will be recognized at the Best Places to Work in PA awards banquet on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pa. Rankings will be revealed at the ceremony. Tickets may be purchased online at www.CPBJ.com/events.
