Design for Manufacturing and Die Simulation Services
Penn United uses the most up-to-date die and stamping simulation software packages available to analyze multiple variables for your part design. This analysis, coupled with over 40 years of design for manufacturing (DFM) experience enables us to propose solutions to unique part requirements early in the development cycle to provide you with product design feedback to help successfully launch your new project.
Stamping and Progressive Stamping Dies
Penn United’s precision metal stamping operations utilize over 45 high speed stamping presses ranging from small bench presses up to 300 ton presses with bed sizes up to 96 inches x 42 inches, and speed capability of over 1,000 strokes per minute. Not only can we stamp your parts, we can deliver your product from design to production creating your progressive stamping die in house. Our precision tool and die group has the people, facility, systems and equipment available to serve your most challenging projects. Our products are of superior quality meeting stringent tolerances and demanding schedules, some of the products we manufacture are fabricated tubes, catheter tip molds, flattening tooling and offer a wide range of secondary operations.
Our bandoliering technology is ideal for continuous manufacturing and handling of your components, such as blades, staples, pins, and needles. Bandoliering your components will reduce unit cost, offer repeatable and reliable quality, and improved production efficiency. Our process allows for multiple manufacturing steps to be done in one set-up, including "in-die": coining, sharpening, machining, and assembly. In addition, this continuous process allows for efficient post processing of components, including: cleaning, coating, heat treating, automated assembly, and over molding.

Using medical grade materials and state-of-the-art equipment, we have the ability to fulfill our customers’ needs.
