Standard Specification for Miniature Laser Welded and Drawn Stainless Steel and Nickel-Chromium Alloy Tubing for General Use
Increased scrutiny by the FDA and other regulatory bodies are forcing medical device manufacturers to reference standards for their miniature stainless steel tubing. There are a number of standards (ASTM, ISO, AMS) that cover specific applications, but in many cases these are incomplete or irrelevant. To meet the need for a standard that properly characterizes all critical elements of miniature stainless steel tubing, K-Tube Technologies created an ASTM-style standard that can be used as a guide or template for internal purchasing specifications. Using K-Tube’s standard specification for miniature stainless steel tubing gives engineers the tools they need to build a complete and accurate internal raw material specification.
