MINNEAPOLIS – June 3, 2022
Quadion LLC, d.b.a. Minnesota Rubber & Plastics, a leading provider of highly engineered elastomer and thermoplastic solutions announced the opening of its state-of-the-art Innovation Center adjacent to the company’s corporate headquarters in Plymouth, Minn. The new 9,000 sq. ft. innovation center will provide customers with direct access to some of the industry’s foremost materials scientists and engineers in an immersive design-prototype-test-build process. Whether customers engage in-person or online, the result will be the same: a game-changing engineer-to-engineer collaboration experience that helps to bring innovations to life faster.
“To say we – and our customers – are excited is an understatement. Just two weeks ago we announced the Innovation Center is ready to start accepting projects, and as of today, we have seven customers already using the Innovation center for key projects right now,” said Jay Ward, CEO of Minnesota Rubber & Plastics “With this center, a customer can walk in the door at the beginning of the week, and then leave that very same week with a fully functional, production-intent part. No one else can say that.”
“We’re already enjoying the limitless potential that a production intent process can bring to our customers,” said Karthik Viswanathan, vice president of product development at Minnesota Rubber & Plastics. “By opening our doors officially, we are providing what our customers want, and we can deliver innovation and time/money savings to them in spades. Any geometry, any material can be dreamed up and created in our new Innovation Center – and very soon our customers and the industry will begin to reap the benefits of new products coming to the market faster.”
