Lumen Dynamics, a world leader in light delivery technologies, expands its UV area curing product line with the introduction of four new high power, air-cooled UV LED area curing solutions to help address the challenges for small and wide area curing applications.

Mississauga, Canada, [June 12th , 2013] — Lumen Dynamics, a world leader in light delivery technologies, expands its UV area curing product line with the introduction of four new high power, air-cooled UV LED area curing solutions to help address the challenges for small and wide area curing applications.

Lumen Dynamics introduces its new OmniCure® AC450, AC475, AC7150 and AC7300 UV LED systems available in both 365 and 395nm with over 8W/cm2peak irradiance. Designed with a unique combination of high output LEDs and customized optics, these air-cooled UV curing systems offer unsurpassed optical efficiency when compared against other LED systems available on the market thus, enabling manufacturers to benefit from the highest irradiance at longer working distances resulting in outstanding throughput, low temperature curing and high product yields.

“The OmniCure® AC series are specifically engineered with our customers’ needs in mind,” stated Mike Kay, Director of Product Management at Lumen Dynamics. “Our systems utilize custom optics to provide high irradiance more efficiently, reducing power consumption and acoustic noise, while our patented process for individually addressing the output of each UV LED module ensures excellent uniformity across the full cure area, essential for achieving even, consistent curing of adhesives, coatings and inks.”

The effective curing area of the AC Series range from 50mm (2”) up to 300mm (12”) and can be further extended for even greater flexibility by adjoining the AC7150 and AC7300 systems together while maintaining the same uniformity between systems to meet any application size without compromise in optical performance. Designed with Lumen Dynamics’ industry-leading thermal management technology, these innovative air-cooled UV LED solutions eliminate the need for external cooling and ozone venting while consuming less power than lamp-based systems to simplify integration into new or existing production line infrastructures.

“We have broadened  our Industrial product portfolio of UV curing systems for small and wide area curing applications to provide greater flexibility and innovation to our customers with new options of size, wavelengths and power that best suit a multitude of applications,” stated Karim Kanji, President and CEO of Lumen Dynamics. “Since 1984, Lumen Dynamics has earned a reputation as a market leader in UV curing and we will continue to expand our knowledge into area curing and bring enabling technologies that address the challenges facing the manufacturing industry.”

Ideal for a number of applications such as display bonding, film lamination, speaker assembly, lens bonding, as well as medical applications such as syringes, filters and insulin pens, the new OmniCure® UV LED area curing systems will be showcased for the first time at several exhibitions. The new products will be displayed from June 18th to 20th, 2013 at both MD&M East in Philadelphia, PA at OmniCure®’s booth #3653 and Display Taiwan 2013 at the Taipei World Trade Center, Nangang Exhibition Hall at booth #I804 of Sigmatek, an OmniCure® distributor. Also, the OmniCure® AC series will be presented at FESPA London 2013 from June 25th to 29th at booth #B50N by Jenton International, an OmniCure® distributor.  Come visit to learn about the new OmniCure® UV curing solutions.
