Servo driven Ultrasonic Welding System: Ultrasonic welding is one of the most widely used processes for bonding polymers, valued for its speed, flexibility, and low cost. In recent years, there has been greater demand from OEMs and processors for more controlled and consistent ultrasonic welding, especially for production of medical devices and high-value precision components. Dukane developed the servo-driven ultrasonic welders to meet these requirements. Combining the efficiency and reliability of a 100% digitally controlled Multi-Core iQ Series power supply with the precision of an advanced servo press, the Dukane Advanced iQ Servo Welder delivers unprecedented repeatability, accuracy and reliability to your ultrasonic bonding process. Unlike pneumatic systems where the ultrasonic horn movement is controlled indirectly by relieving pressure from the air cylinder, the iQ Servo system controls the ultrasonic horn directly through closed-loop servo position control. 

Laser Welding of Plastics: Laser welding of plastic parts has established itself as a robust, flexible and precise joining process. Laser welding enables highly efficient and flexible assembly from a small-scale production of parts with complex geometries to a high volume industrial manufacturing, where it can be easily integrated into automation lines. This highly repeatable and clean process with no relative parts movement during the welding cycle offers numerous advantages. Thanks to its localized heat input and low mechanical stresses, this process enables welding of sensitive assemblies in medical device manufacturing, industrial and consumer electronics and automotive components without damaging delicate inner components by heat or vibrations. Recently, Dukane designed new Laser Welding Work cells to weld clear-to-clear or clear-to-color or color-to-color plastic components without the need of any laser absorbing additives. These work cells incorporate 2-micron laser with greatly increased absorption by clear polymers and enables highly controlled melting through the thickness of optically clear parts.

Ultrasonic Fabric and Film Processing: bonding, slitting, or sealing of fabrics and films containing thermoplastic material(s). Typical thermoplastic materials found in fabrics and films include acrylics, nylon, polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride, and urethane. Products from the textile, apparel, nonwovens, packaging, medical and automotive industries all benefit from the fast, clean, and economical fabric & film processing techniques.

Spin Welding: Dukane Ultrasonics offers a range of advanced, high quality spin welders in standalone or fully automated units for today's advanced applications. Hot Plate Welders: The ideal assembly solution for medium, contoured, or complex thermoplastic parts - hot plate welders. Designed for versatility and easy tooling changeover to accommodate a variety of parts. Typical hot plate welding applications include fuel tanks, reservoirs, taillight lenses, and vent ducts. The hot plate welders easily achieve hermetic seals, and finished part weld strength approaching that of the virgin material.
