Cirtronics Corporation, a New England based manufacturer specializing in medical, defense and high-tech contract manufacturing, has received national re-certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

WBENC’s national standard of certification, implemented locally by the Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) in Boston, Massachusetts, is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and facility. The certification process is designed to confirm that a business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women, and in good financial standing.

By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, large medical corporations, high-tech companies and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their internal supplier diversity program.  There are only two organizations in the US that are authorized third-party certifiers for women-owned businesses, and the WBENC is the nation’s largest.  Inclusion as a WBENC member is the most respected woman-owned certification that can be achieved.  It ensures that vendors like Cirtronics can effectively aid a company’s supplier diversity program.
